Switching off can be a hard thing to do.
And I know I’m not the only person who feels guilty for switching off. After speaking to another blogger, I realised that we all feel guilty at some point.
The pressure we put on ourselves makes finding that time to switch off and relaxing that bit harder. There was one day last month where I was off sick from work and even then I was thinking of all the things I could get done. But no I sat and watched TV all day but kept saying to myself “right I’ve got to get this stuff done.” Be that a blog post or uni work, I felt I had to get it done.
Right now Sunday is my only full no commitments day off & I still find myself planning my day. Scheduling time for the gym, course work and blog posts. Making sure I make the most of my day off. I feel guilty for taking the day off and feel like I’ve lost a productive day if I do. Crazy I know.
I am defiantly trying to make more time to switch off, right now I leave my Saturday afternoons/nights free to just relax, watch a film or read a book. Also by prioritise the most important things is defiantly helping to feel less guilty.
