New York is Beautiful all year round but seeing it at Christmas makes it 10 x more beautiful. I’ve wanted to visit New York during Christmas since I was little and it was even more magical than I could of ever imagined.
Without a doubt I was most excited about seeing the Rockefeller Tree all lit up for Christmas. It was incredible and even more beautiful in person. I was literally like that scene in Elf when he sees the tree for the first time.
Fifth Avenue Lights
The shops along Fifth Avenue were also all decked out in Christmas Decorations. From the Plaza to Tiffany’s, Cartier and best of all Saks Fifth Avenue. Saks also has their own light show, so its well worth stopping off to have a look.
Speaking of Saks Fifth Ave the shop windows were all decorated with the story of Snow White. They were beautifully decorated but don’t plan on getting up close with them because at night it gets so busy you can’t move. Also check out Macy’s, Bloomingdales & Bergdorf Goodman’s Window displays.
Both Bryant Park & Union Square have Christmas Markets full of everything Christmassy. Bryant Park has also got its own ice rink. I did visit both but didn’t fully get to experience the markets as it was so bust. I get really anxious in busy places so I couldn’t fully take it all in. But Its defiantly somewhere to put on your list if you’re heading to NYC.
During the Christmas Period the Radio City Rockettes star in the Christmas Spectacular! Its an amazing show & one thats perfect for every age. The Rockettes are incredible dancers too and it will defiantly put you in the Christmas Spirit.
While I never did go Ice Skating Its something I really wanted to do!
