New York City Guide: Best Places to Eat

Cappuccino in the Clouds

Because I was going to be in New York for a month I researched some of the best places to eat and some of the most recommend places by bloggers. Although I didn’t eat out a lot there was a few good place that I did visit and would defiantly recommend.

Magnolia Bakery

My favourite cupcake store in New York and I think I went there maybe 5 or 6 times- granted the first time my cupcake did melt from the heat, so that doesn’t count as one. The cupcakes are delicious and you have to try the Banana Pudding which they are famous for.

Soho Park

One of my favourite restaurants in New York. Every time I visit New York I make sure I visit Soho Park. Located in none other that Soho, Soho Park is the bloggers dream, with basket foods and cute decor it’s the perfect lunch spot.

Amy’s Bread

Another store with divine cakes and famous for their homemade crusty breads. I went to Amy’s Bread with a friend where we both had a choice of delicious cakes. Emma went for the Yellow Cake with Pink Frosting and I opted for the Red Velvet and it may possibly be the best Red Velvet I’ve ever had, so much so I didn’t have time to snap a photo.

The Butcher’s Daughter.

I’m sure you’ve heard of the Butcher’s Daughter as almost every blogger who’s ever visited New York has posted about it at some point or another. The Butchers Daughter is a great little juice bar which serves vegetarian and dairy free foods. A friend and I went for brunch one Sunday and the place was packed but we got a lovely table outside in the sun. I choses the blueberry scone and fruit bowl with the Pineapple  juice blend drink!

Sprinkles Cupcake ATM

We stumbled upon the Sprinkles Cupcake ATM as we were headed to Magnolia Bakery , but the children inside us couldn’t help but try out the atm.

And a Few Others

One night I met a friend and her mum for tea at Max Brenner’s the famous chocolate bar and restaurant, which I defiantly recommend you try their fries as they are dusted in both chilli powder and coco powder, strange but so good. And If you can try and get a $1 pizza slice from a small little Pizza store, they are defiantly the best. The Boathouse in Central Park during the day has a small fast food restaurant outside which is home to some of the best hotdogs I’ve ever tried.

Where are some of your favourite restaurants in New York?
