One Year On

Cappuccino in the Clouds

It’s 11 o’clock at night & I just put the lights out and got into bed ready to sleep, and the urge to write a new blog post pops into my head. Typical just when I’m trying to relax and shut off a blog post pops into my head.

I knew I wouldn’t be able to sleep until I got it down on paper. As for me it’s usually if I don’t write it down instantly it’s gone for ever.

So onto the post that is preventing me from sleeping.

Saturday marked one year since my course at the New York Film Academy ended and one of the best summers was drawing to a close.

I left the course 4 weeks earlier than originally planned feeling fully inspired ready to go home and get started on where I wanted to end up.

I left the course realising that I didn’t want to focus on broadcast journalism anymore but focus on film instead.

So now a year later I feel like I’m back to square one. I don’t know what career path I want to take and how to get there. I don’t even really feel that I have that one thing that I’m fully passionate about.

As my trip to New York is drawing closer I am hoping New York has the same effect as it did last year. I hope that it will inspire me, help me decide what I want and hopefully this time it will stick.
