How I fell in love with Fitness.. again

Over the last two years I’ve really fallen back in love with fitness. I used to have a love/hate relationship when it came fitness and working out.

Over the years I’ve  learned that working out make me feel so much better. It lifted my moods made me feel better and i really felt the physical benefits too. When I first started I had no clue so I got a six week programme from one of the guys at the gym and away I went. Every six weeks I’d go back get an update change up my workouts. Eventually I started noticing a difference in my mentality for working out and in my body. I felt leaner and stronger.

Around the one year mark I started noticing I was skipping out on workouts, I wasn’t motived enough.. Started eating crappy again and I just generally felt sluggish. I think at that point I had no set goals and I wasn’t pushing myself enough. I had areas that I wanted to improve on but I wasn’t willing to actually work on them.. Basically I wasn’t willing to sweat it out and really push myself.
About 6-8 weeks ago I signed up with a new PT and he really helped me establish my goals. Areas I wanted to work on and helped me figure out the best ways to do that. We also did a fitness test so we could figure out all my  Weight, height and measurements. All that fun stuff.

Now i’m working on a new updated program which is really targeting all the right exercises for me.

After each workout I try to do a 10-15 minute HIT circuit and I push myself as much as I can. I’ve found that after these workouts I feel amazing. They kill you while you’re doing them but the rewards afterwords are incredible.

I’m now trying to work out at least 4 times a week. As I really start to notice a difference in my moods or stress if don’t workout.. I find it such a stress reliever. I’m now excited to workout it’s becoming something I enjoy it doesn’t feel like a chore to go and workout. I am actually amazed at how much I enjoy working out. Noticing how bad I feel if I miss a workout or a week of workouts. I notice how much my moods change or how de-stressed I become after I work out.

As well as working out I’ve been trying so hard to eat healthy and be more conscious of what foods I’m eating.

I’ve slipped up a few times but I’m human and got a huge sweet tooth.. I have been so hungry after every workout too. So I’m really trying to learn the best foods to eat for that. Still got a bit of work to do on that one.

Let’s talk about this outfit for a second. Because if there’s one way to get you motivated to get to your workout  is new workout gear. I wanted a change I felt my workout clothes were getting a bit shabby and crummy looking. I’m loving these pieces from Lululemon I think the white top and the navy leggings go so well together. They are so nice I almost don’t want to wear them to the gym. The top is the Love Tank which at the time was only available in the white in my size. So I really hope they restock the other colours too. Now lets talk about the leggings for a second these are the Wunder Under Leggings and they are incredible. It feels like you’re not even wearing workout leggings they are so comfy. They are high waisted and they make your ass look amazing, if I don’t say so myself.  I read a lot of the reviews before I bought them because they were 50/50 on how good the leggings were. But so far so good. I’m loving the way they fit, look, wash, I’ll definitely be ordering more soon.

I already have a few pieces from Lululemon including their energy bra which is one of my favourites. ( which I think I will be purchasing in more colours) and the define jacket which I want in every colour avaliable. Its the perfect jacket for throwing on over your workout clothes
