December Favourites

december favourites

I can’t believe we’re at December already this year has went by so quickly. Today’s monthly favourites post is out a little earlier than normal but I’m still going on with my December outfits challenge over on Instagram.  ( I may be failing a little) so a full round up of that will be coming next week then I will take a few days off over Christmas and New Year.

I’m also thinking of changing up these monthly favourites posts a little for the new year. As most of the time I feel like I’m looking for things to include just a I have a post to publish. It will still be a similar format but maybe more of a list format with links to other posts or articles, clothing books that type of thing. I’m currently trying to decide what I content I will have on the blog next year and what new features I want to introduce.

Anyway for now moving on to my December Favourites

How is it Christmas on Tuesday? It seems as if the 1st of December was only a week ago now we’re almost at Christmas. I’ve spent the whole month watching Christmas films, listening to Christmas music everything to get into the festive spirit. You can also read my post from a couple of weeks ago on Ways to get into the Christmas Spirit.

The Marvelous Mrs Maisel

I started watching The Marvelous Mrs Maisel over on Amazon Prime on monday and I love it. It’s the first show in a long time that I’ve been excited to watch another episode. It’s one of those shows where I think “okay just one more” and I end up watching another 2 or 3. Midge Maisel is a 1950’s housewife who when her Husband leaves her decided to become a Stand Up Comedian. Like I said I’m loving this show and it’s so funny especially the scenes where she does her stand up shows. Its created by the creators of Gilmore Girls and it definitely has the same witty comedy that Gilmore Girls does. So far I’m just at the end of Season One and I’m going to try draw out Season 2 as long as I can because I don’t want to finish it too quick.

One Day In December

I will be posting about One Day in December in my January reading post in a few weeks but I couldn’t not include it in today’s post. This is the perfect rom-com novel for this time of year. Set over 10 years the story follows Laurie and Jack who one day catch each other’s eye at a bus stop before her bus pulls away. Laurie spends the whole year looking for her mysterious bus boy until her best friend introduces her to her new boyfriend Jack.. the boy from the bus.

I’m not quite finished this book yet but I can’t put it down. I have never related to a character in a book as much as I relate to Laurie. The Story line is also so sweet

Bullet Journal

I just finished setting up my bullet journal for 2019 and it’s still the best way to stay organised. I use it mainly for blogging and keeping all my blog notes in one place, I’m very much old school and still like to have everything written out in front of me. Mainly its a place I can keep track of my to do lists and my content calendars for the month. I will be sharing a full post I think maybe in the new year of why i like the bullet journal system and what works best for me.

Faux Leather Leggings

I picked up a new pair of Faux Leather leggings from Topshop after being on the hunt for a decent pair for ages. I actually used to have a pair of these from a couple of years ago. Which I used to wear to my old work so they got a bit worn looking so it was time to update to a new pair. These leggings are so comfy, they even have a almost fleecy lining inside which makes them extra cosy for winter.

There’s only a couple of bloggers/youtubers who’s videos i’ll still watch especially at vlogmas. Otherwise there’s just too many to catch up on. The only two I’ve been watching this year is Erika from Retro Flame and Lydia Millen. Both have excellent vlogs this year and its like a mini little series to watch over the christmas period.
