With Valentines Day coming up tomorrow I thought now was a great time to share some great Date Night Outfits.
By now I’ve been on a handful of first dates and one thing I feel I’ve finally figured out how to dress for a date. Depending on the setting, location and day of the date there are plenty of ways you can dress appropriate for a date.
I think dressing up for a date all comes down to where & when the date is.
If it’s dinner & drinks on a Friday or Saturday night, you can afford to get a little more dressed up. I think the best way to do this is a nice top paired with jeans and heels added to complete the look. A cute dress can also work but again it’s all down to the setting of the date. These dinner/drinks type dates on a weekend night is where you can also maybe dress a little sexier than you would on a weeknight date. For this date I have styled my lacy black bodysuit with a pair of denim jeans. As it still gives an element of sexyness but it’s casual enough for dinner and drinks.
Going casual for date night is always my go to because I don’t like over doing it. So I’d rather keep it simple. A casual outfit such as jeans & a t-shirt or jumper with a cute pair of shoes or boots. Can be perfect for a first date. If its weeknight drinks or dinner, the cinemas or a coffee date. A casual outfit is the perfect choice. Which is why I’ve styled a cute jumper with a pair of jeans. This outfit is perfect for dates at this time of year because it keeps you cosy but you still look nice.
I’ve also added in another outfit for this date. A bodysuit paired with jeans. You know I love my bodysuits and I think they’re perfect for a date night outfit too. As you can see above. This black ASOS bodysuit is perfect as its a little more low cut and figure hugging than a jumper would be. It adds a little something to the look and would be perfect for a casual date night.
Unless you’re going on a walk or doing some sort of activity then being overly casual is a no on a first date. You want to make an impression so dressing nice is one step. Going for a extremely casual outfit is best left for when you’re further in the relationship or if you’re relaxing at your date’s house. There is plenty of cute loungewear out there that looks great but is still casual enough. I’ve went really simple here and paired a big knit jumper with a pair of leggings that way you still look stylish but its still super comfy. Plus the dog is an added bonus.
