It’s been a while since I’ve done a monthly round up post. June on the blog has been a slow one. Frankly it’s been a slow one for all types of creativity. Both my blog and instagram have taken a hit & I finally feel I’m getting my creative juices flowing again. I spent all of Wednesday at my laptop doing a little blog revamp and writing up some new posts. Which hopefully means for July there will be plenty of posts going up.
In the meantime I’m sharing a round up of things I’ve been loving this past month that I want to recommend to you all too.
Always Be My Maybe
Netflix has done it again and produced another great romantic comedy. Always Be My Maybe follows the relationship between childhood friends Sasha and Marcus Who after being best friends all through school, have an awkward one night stand in high school. After 16 years apart they finally see each other again and they fall back into their friendship.
This is a funny easy to watch rom-com that has all the elements of the classic 1990’s early 2000’s rom-coms. I really enjoyed this one just another great Netflix Original Movie.
Modern day telling of Sherlock Holmes who is a recovering drug addict. Sherlock ( Johnny Lee Miller ) and Joan Watson ( Lucy Liu) help out the NYPD in their investigations.
I actually started watching Elementary around this time last year but only got as far as series 2. Ever since I’ve been wanting to watch the rest so when it came onto Amazon Prime this month I have been binge watching it ever since.
Red, White & Royal Blue
What happens when the first son of the United States falls in love with the Prince of England. This transatlantic story of two men from two of the most powerful families in the world. Who fall in love but have to keep it a secret.
I feel like I’ve been talking about this book everywhere this week. Although you can’t blame me because everyone should read this. Add Red White & Royal Blue to your summer read this because this is one you don’t want to miss. Apparently they are making it into a film too.

Shameful I know but I’m fully addicted to Love Island this year. From the Drama between Danny and Amber this week which was highly entertaining even though they were acting very immature. To Anton who at the start I couldn’t really stand has grown on me so much. This year hasn’t been as exciting as previous years but it’s still trashy tv that’s addictive.
I finally jumped on the Monzo bandwagon this month in the bid to start saving a little more. If you don’t know what Monzo is it’s basically an online banking service like any normal bank account. I’m mainly excited to use the saving feature as you’re able to lock the “saving pots’ as the call them until a certain date so you can’t access that money at all. It also breaks down your daily spending and where your money’s going. Plus it comes with a pretty coral bank card so it’s aesthetically pleasing too.
